Brexiteers contradict the very fabric of their foundation

Updated: Jun 20, 2019

On Saturday, 5th January, 2019 (I thought it right to commemorate the date), I read an article in The Guardian online by journalist Damien Gayle titled ‘Girl, 13, arrested in London ‘yellow-vest’ pro-Brexit protest’. Yes, you read that correctly – a ‘London ‘yellow-vest’ pro-Brexit protest’. It gets better. The last paragraph of Mr. Gayle’s article states: ‘“No to globalists; yes to free freedom,” [Ah, The Art of The Trump. Need I say more?] one man shouts in the footage shared on Periscope, before the group collectively raise their voices in a song of “bye bye EU”, to the tune of Auld Lang Syne.

Who sings ‘“bye bye EU”’ at a pro-Brexit demonstration whilst wearing attire synonymous with one of the E.U. member states that they despise? If at the cusp of E.U. emancipation Brexiteers are still unable to exhibit their prowess for innovation, then God help Great Britain when Independence Day explodes on her doorstep on 29th March, 2019. The hallucinations of a ‘status of colony’ may be frowned upon now, however, come Brexit’s Ides of March, https://www.history.com/news/what-are-the-ides-of-march, Britons may well find themselves wishing on an E.U. star for that lost EuroMillions winning ticket.
